讲座摘要

Data Science is a new emerging body of study in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In this presentation, the definition, contents and importance of data science are explained. Next, the significant meaning of data quality management is revealed. How the data quality management is promoted and managed are studied and presented.Next, development strategies of data science and data quality are presented. They are promotion of data science education, globalization strategy for data science, activation of the basic data act, strategies for revitalizing the data industry, enhancing standardization across data platforms for data quality management.

主讲人介绍

Professor Sung Hyun Park earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University, and M.S. in Operations Research and Ph.D. in Statistics from North Carolina State University, USA. Currently Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences (Republic of Korea) and President of the Korean Association of Senior Scientists and Engineers, he previously served as President of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST), President of the Korean Statistical Society and Korean Society for Quality Management, Dean of the College of Natural Sciences at Seoul National University, and Division Chair of the Presidential Advisory Council on Science and Technology. He is an Emeritus Professor at Seoul National University, with long-term consulting experience for Samsung, LG, SK, Hyundai Motor and other major Korean corporations. He has published 93 books (including 11 in English) focusing on design of experiments, regression analysis, statistical quality control, Six Sigma and robust design for quality engineering.
